Rainbow in Reverse; An Out of the Rough Experience

Standard

After a sleepless night, (due to the fact that my baby is still breastfeeding, and my 11-year-old son decided to break the world record ( as shared to him in school by his friends) of the kid who didn’t sleep for 8 nights in a row !!) feelings of exhaustion coupled with meditation, naming and writing my thoughts in the raw to self and others, sending emails, journaling, breathing, thinking and making sure the kids were O.K.:) I started the day with a HUGE need to take my every day energy green shot (literally: wheat grass, barley grass, kelp and Spirulina) and took off to an Anahata Yoga class, requesting support from a wonderful person that works for us to see my baby for an hour ( which for any mom seems like days, at least for me it does) and I decided to give this time to myself, renew and just do something to celebrate me and refresh my body, mind and spirit.

Upon exiting my home I was greeted, literally outside of my door by a beautiful Rainbow (pic which I twitted immediately in my human need of love and connection through sharing) , class was amazing, a great teacher, great students, great harmonic energy field…where the more truly becomes the merrier.

“A ship in harbor is safe— but that is not what ships are for.” – John A. Shedd

Upon my return had a raw breakfast and then my ritual of eating frogs, which includes always getting rid of emails and answering the important ones, while baby takes a nap…Now when doing the email review, one of those looked exactly as the Rainbow that greeted me in the morning, but, in reverse:) it was more like a dark cloud announcing a storm! and oh Boy did it rain!.

“We can draw lessons from the past, but we cannot live in it.” – Lyndon B. Johnson

I saw myself engaging, reacting, and justifying myself on this person’s choice on responding to an email I sent, which I could clearly see this was not the response my need for certainty or control wanted to receive. I was expecting something different. And the need of uncertainty was immediately fulfilled with this! Not the way my certainty need wanted it, but what my need for uncertainty needed! Whoa!

“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” – Marcus Aurelius Antoninus

Lost track of myself for an hour or so, got to re-focus by writing, walking, take back the reigns of my thoughts and mind and now , share in the RAW with you all.
I don’t desire in this blog which is call RAWNEST LIVING, to pretend at any given moment that my life is 100 percent all the time rainbows and flowers, maybe it is 98 percent, but not 100…I have set backs, make mistakes, get tired, and so on…I have the power of choice in me that helps me through these all any given time though, and that supports me to learn every single moment…yes every SINGLE MOMENT, to learn something new!

“Courage is being scared to death – but saddling up anyway.” – John Wayne

Yes! And this moment came with an inner gift, a rainbow, dressed up as a storm which through it I kept reinforcing my realization on how wonderful truly life is, a true gift from this minor set-back, from an exchange of written words, from spoken reactive words, chosen actions based on past imprints and so on, what a gift! Not only I have the opportunity to choose differently the next time, but also to realize that these moments too are a rainbow. Even when its colors may be hiding behind a storm, or a cloud or looking as a Rainbow in reverse.

Only he who can see the invisible can do the impossible.
- Frank L. Gaines

I remember in a public talk given by Byron Katie ( Founder of the work http://www.the work.com), she came out on the stage with what appeared to be a death flower, no more petals just the stem and she said: “isn’t she beautiful?” somehow this wise woman, by being present and not judging anything as wrong, or right, as good or bad, or as live or death was seeing what is…the magnificent beauty of the now.

“You only ever grow as a human being if you’re outside your comfort zone.”
- Percy Cerutty

I see it right now, and am grateful for this…and I hope my blog today reminds at least one person out there , in the portal of the unknown that blogging is, that no matter the situations, easy or hard, expected or unexpected, that the presence and the beauty of God or Source (whatever name you feel most comfortably with) is always letting us know that we are loved, we are heard, and that we matter..and that this very moment is unlabeled and is free of suffering, filled with presence and abundant of new opportunities!

“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind.” – James Allen

Love matters, this moment is amazing, very healing…and just very, mmmm… “what is”.
So if at any moment you create, co-create, or have a setback…just see it as the moment that in golf the ball falls in the sand trap, the woods, or the rough…eventually you will get the ball out of there and place into the green no matter how many shots you have to take.
And if the ball falls in the water or out of bounce you can always drop a new ball.

Blogging for me right now feels like this…a new ball, a new moment, a new opportunity…

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
― Rumi

I wish you an outstanding weekend, where all your human needs are fulfilled in peace-filled beautiful ways…and if they are not..just get your soul drive and get you in to the green of presence, the beauty of the NOW.

Thank you for living RAW; Responsibly , Aware and Whole

Fall seven times, stand up eight.
- Japanese proverb

Ivonne Delaflor

Interesting Facts: A rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines on to droplets of moisture in the Earth’s atmosphere. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun. In a “primary rainbow”, the arc shows red on the outer part, and violet on the inner side. This rainbow is caused by light being refracted while entering a droplet of water, then reflected inside on the back of the droplet and refracted again when leaving it.
